Thanks for pointing out the other group. I don't want to sound like

a grouch here but there are some conversations that might be more

appropriate for the ttcmyomectomy group. For me, recovering from

surgery while maintaining my career and personal relationships is a

lot to think about and I since I am not TTC I can't take the time to

read through posts about TTC and breastfeeding etc. on this group,

which is supposed to be fibroid related. Sorry if this sounds

harsh....we all love babies and we love good news about new babies

and I am curious about post myo pregnancy and delivery, but for me,

right now I just wish that this group was more about fibroids than

about TTC.

I understand that some people may be frustrated w/some of the topics

of conversation that is posted on this site, but they ARE in fact

related to fibroids and just because in one person is not TTC doesn't

mean that there aren't a bunch of others that still are. The

questions and topics of this group does have a moderator and she

approves or dispproves the postings. One must remember that there are

people all around the world in this group and some of them have had

myo's are TTC and also have reaccuring fibroids as well which is

definately a hot topic. The members of this group age range start at

19 as from what I understand of the women that have been discussing

their problems and concern. Some have had UFE's and are TTC as well,

so should there be another message board for that as well? The common

interest here is that we all are battling fibroids, whether what it

is presently doing to us or how it has affected us after certain

treatment types.

As for the breastfeeding topic, I honestly don't know too much of

that. I do know however I've brought up questions about breastfeeding

b/I have 3 large fibroids and I'm lactating but I'm not pregnant and

wanted to know if anyone else also has problems w/their prolactin

level.

Fibroids is a big issue for all women and its important that we

support each other instead of pushing the women that don't meet what

one person feels is a relevant concern under this board into another

one.

-Could you tell me how to find this group. Also, is it just for

people who have already had their myoor is it open to people who are

having one in the near future?

TTC is a very big issue, certainly huge enough to support another

group. As I said, I am interested in such issues and I do not want

posts about that issue to stop but there was a time (around January)

when almost all posts here were about talking about TTC and

pregnancy in such a way that it was a stretch to say that it was

related to fibroids. The questions and answers did not even seem to

relate back to fibroids. I read some and ignored some. For me

personally, that trend was difficult to get through. I was recently

post op with so much concern but my posts received very little

attention compared with questions about conception and pregnancy.

The main reason that I pointed out that some people might consider

the other board is that I realize that some people might feel the

opposite of what I feel. They may feel that there is not enough TTC

discussion here. One board cannot be all things to all people and

topics that are such huge life issues might have to be divided into

a few categories.

I had not seen your post about lactating and fibroids and I was not

referring to it.

I apologize for anything that sounded offensive. I wanted people to

know that another forum exists and that they might consider using it

in addition to this one.
