Guest guest
I am thinking maybe UFE would be a good > choice for me. May I ask, why did you say that it would not be a good > choice for you? I mean the UFE. Hi Marissa, Thanks so much for helping by sharing your information! I am not sure whether UFE would be a good choice for me or not - its that uncertainty that makes me wish that I could get a myo by a great surgeon. My concerns involve the gigantic size of my poor uterus, waay above the navel. The MRI looks just like a big black blob. I wonder whether that monster might have such developed blood supplies that trying to embolise it might get the kidneys, ovaries, or entire uterus. BUT that is my ignorance, NOT what I've been told. Given the extent of the monster, I'd like to get it all out as slight shrinkage might not be enough for relief of symptoms. I have had 2 IR consults and was told by both that I was a candidate for UFE. But then neither seemed very eager to proceed. This gave me some pause about the situation. I'm pretty direct with docs, but one never knows how comfortable any particular doc will be expressing their own reservations. So that's why I said that UFE might not be the best way to go for me - a concern, not fact. I sure would like to wrap up this chapter in my life. Thanks again for your kind help! Best wishes
