Guest guest
Hi Pam, I think it depends on the location & size of your fibroids when they are removed, as well as how much scar tissue your body forms after they are removed. I just had my post op appt. this week & asked my Dr. that very thing...she said that for me, because my fibroids were all on the outside of my uterus that they should have no impact on my ability to conceive. I hope she is right! ) Your situation is similar to mine (fibroids caused HUGE problems with first pregnancy) and for me, I wanted my fibroid gone before we have another baby - I was willing to take my chances with the surgery so that hopefully I will not have the same problems next time. I've been advised to wait at least 4 months to try to conceive again. Good luck to you with your surgery - I'll be thinking of you next week. ~Cindy > Hi everyone, > > I've been trying to do some research and am not getting such great > odds on conceiving after a myo because of the scarring. > > What is everyone else's experience in this area?
