Jst from the sound of what you say, it sounds as if you may have AU (arcuate). They can look pretty heart-shaped, inside and out. The key is whether the internal dip is more than a centimeter. When you ask how you could have heart shaped + " normal " AU is the most likely answer, and AU is considered to be a variation of normal, sort of like having a widow's peak versus a smooth hairline. If you are not comfortable with this, why not send your films and other diagnostic material to an expert for assessment? Good luck.
