Guest guest
Hi all, I'm still here and reading, feeling like I know you all. I was so excited to see the best RE in Chicago, and the MRI results were really bad. He said my fibroids were too many to count. He was so surprised he had to have 2 people look at films and go see for himself. He can barely believe it. I didn't think it was this severe. He hasn't seen a case this bad since '89. And she had a hyst. It's kind of like *instead* of a uterus, I have a huge fibroid. A myomectomy is kind of crazy in my situation. He definitely talked about hysterectomy. No way he could get rid of ALL the bad stuff, I'd have no uterus left. None. Thing is, I have no kids, I'm 35, and my boyfriend and I want to try to conceive. So that would mean a huge " partial " myomectomy surg, then a c-section baby IF lucky (call it a miracle), then likely, a hysterectomy. All to have a child. Doc is willing to try. It seems like a huge, risky experiment. Anyone heard of anything this wacky ever working? And I don't want a hyst of course, kids or not. Feel free to email me off list. I think all of this is so scary and I admire each of us. Cyndi
