I had very heavy, very painful periods before my ablation. Then not a period

since and no pain each month! I just spot a wee bit (not even enough to need a

panty liner) when I ovulate each month. I don't know if it's something you'd

like to do, but it was a miracle cure for me.

I used to have to take a change of clothes with me to work, double up a towel to

sit on in my car and wear HUGE overnight pads (this was during the day too)

along with the super size tampax and have to change it all every 10-15 minutes

when I was gushing. It was a real problem as I'm a teacher and I had to have

someone watch my class. I then started staying home every month for 2 days when

the flow would be the heaviest. I was anemic and exhausted. Doctor wanted to do

hyst, but then changed to ablation and it was a wonderful option for me.

Many women (including me) find that the first post-myo period is more

painful than subsequent periods. Your uterus probably just needs a little

more time to heal.

Hi,

Can I ask how long ago you had your myo?

I will be 6 weeks post on Monday. I had one period that was amazingly

light. But since then, I've had two episodes of bleeding with

clotting (not period) It's really upsetting me. Luckily I see the

doctor on Wed. for 6-week post-op check. I need answers!
