Guest guest
We are on our 4th round of DMSA with my son. We haven't seen big, significant changes in him. Should I be expecting to, or is it too early, yet? Also, his urine metal tests have come back with elevated levels of tin and aluminum. He has other metals coming out, but they are still in the " normal " range (whatever that is!!!) I was really expecting mercury to be showing up more in his tests. Does it sometimes come later? Or does it mean that mercury is not an issue? I'm starting to wonder about the validity of the urine tests. Has anyone had this experience? Did you keep chelating? I want to know that this kind of therapy is right for him...when do I know to stop chelating? Here is the results of his last urine heavy metal test: Metal Result Reference Range aluminum 21 60 Arsenic 34 130 cadmium .6 2 lead 11 18 mercury 2.3 5 nickel 2.5 15 Thallium .3 1.1 Tin 950 15 tungsten .6 1.5 shannon

Should I be expecting to, or is it too early, yet? I don't use DMSA, but I have read that it usually takes longer with DMSA. Are you eliminating lead? Or just clearing the body first? > Also, his urine metal tests have come back with elevated levels of tin and aluminum. Just based on my son's experience [no test results], it would appear that mercury was the last metal to be addressed. Also, DMSA would not be addressing brain metals [except lead], so you might just be clearing the body but you might not see any " significant " results until you start addressing the brain metals. > Has anyone had this experience? Good luck. Dana

I would suggest that you add ALA. good wishes, Moria > I'm starting to wonder about the validity of the urine tests. > > Has anyone had this experience? Did you keep chelating?
