Guest guest
Hi All~ I wanted to thank the many ladies of the list who wrote when my Mom recently passed on. She truely was a wonderful woman, she had 12 children and fibroids discovered after all the children...when she was 50 yrs. old. She had a hysterectomy and went into a deep depression that kept her in bed for two years! She told me to avoid hysterectomy if I could. Interesting enough, I'm the only one out of her 9 daughters (so far) who has developed fibroids. While I don't have heavy bleeding, I have developed discomfort due to the size of the fibroid. My right hip and low back...even my right leg. Yoga helps a lot. While the focused ultra sound has definitely helped, I wish the fibroid would shrink more than it has. I'm scheduled to bank blood and have a myo in Aug. at Brigham and Women's....unless the MRI in July shows the fibroid is shrinking. I really don't want the surgery but I would like my uterus to be a normal size again, and every time I read a success story on this list it makes me believe I too, could survive the surgery. Thank you all for being supportive and reaching out. Sincerely,
