Dr. Stanley West/Kathy & everyone

Kathy & other newer list-mates -- I'm not sure if this is what is

referred to, but listmembers who have been here for a while know that

Dr. West had his license revoked for 3 months last year. Carla, NUFF

and this board made available all the documentation regarding his

case, and Carla also arranged an on-line chat with Dr. West where he

answered questions about it, transcripts also available at the NUFF

From what I can tell by reading our list, Dr. West has a well-

deserved position of respect and affection among his patients who

post here. I have never met him (though I enjoyed seeing him on

20/20). However, as we know, we each need to educate ourselves and

take responsibility for making decisions about our own health care.

Hi Sunny,

Jan here, I read every word of that info you mention before I saw Dr.

West. And because of that I scheduled surgery with this dr. I just

investigated a little further after I plainly got the creeps when he

put " bleeding " down as a symptom on the paper I had signed prior to

this. I'm not a bleeder.

I plainly stated this to dr. west in front of my aunt.

I know that dr's have to bend a little with insurance constraints but

I was to pay dr.w -15,000 of my own cold cash so I was bothered by

this among a few other other things..like no nurse in the exam room

and that he walked in on another patient who screamed because she

hadn't finished undressing. Us gals in the waiting room heard quite a

roar from this poor woman.

Still, I'm beyond thrilled for the women who are helped by this dr. I

might have been one of them. I just made a choice that worked for me.

I'm thinking at 350.00 for a consult he can swing for a nurse.
