Guest guest
Not really in the elbows, knees yay, back if bent over to long hard to upright myself. Yesterday at the doc's, his test caused such cramping, which was good for him to see, but bad for me. He worked a lot on my facial muscles and neck strength and today, it feels like I have talked for the last 24 hours none stop, if I turn my head a certain way, while talking, I feel a pull and then it feels like the blod has been cut off to my head. Really weird feeling. My toes have yet to settle down. They want to do the Spock sign with not much movement.
Guest guest
ouch on the test causing cramping and double ouch on the toes spock think. i can relate to the spock toes Oh and also totally relate to the back issue, i too if i am bending over a bit, then really painful and hard to straighten back up. ever feel too bottom of feet, ankles, knees, lower back, hips hurt when getting up after being sitting/laying stil for length of time? like in the mornings? or for me when have MRI's done or similiar test where have to lay still, boy getting up and moving is close to impossible. or after sitting in meetings same thing. can be embarassing when this happens like after a test, or meetings etc.. I must look like a 100 yo woman trying to move again LOL. well if dont look like it i definitely feel like that LOL. ||\_/| spock toes marfla Be Blessed Re: knees and elbows? > Not really in the elbows, knees yay, back if bent over > to long hard to upright myself. > > Yesterday at the doc's, his test caused such cramping, > which was good for him to see, but bad for me. Guest guest
hey marsha, my latest symptom with my last wave of progression has included (and mostly while sleeping) locking up of shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. It requires manual movement of that joint and the problem i was having prior to pool therapy was having too many of the joints lock up without another body part to manually move it. is very painful, still happens, but usually one side at a time so that i can use my other one to pry the damn thing unstuck. doc said this is increase in spasm activity that has been trying to permanently contract my shoulders for about a year or so now. this is why doc feels best hope is baclofen pump because of the uncontrollable level of spasms and spasticity. i wake up probably anywhere from 5-10 times a nite shreeking as i try to undo myself. tawny marfla04 marfla04@...> wrote: hi everyone, hope each of you are doing ok. and planning something fun for the weekend. wondering if anyone has experienced something like your knee/s, and/or elbow/s sorta like lock up? esp when sitting a while like driving, or elbow bent while on the computer. its like tendons, or ligaments, or muscles, something cramps up or like twisting until it's too short. happens in wrist sometimes but more in knees, then elbows. its not like the joint locking up though. trying to straighten knee or elbow out doesn't feel good either. but once do that does offer some relief, until return to whatever was doing that had knees/elbows bent. not sure if can explain very well and may have nothing to do with everything else. yet i believe it is as its close the cramping i get in calves at times too. be sure do to something nice for yourself this weekend marfla
Guest guest
tawny wow, so sorry you are experiencing so much, and pain grrrr. I really hope they can get you on something that helps and offers relief. I can't say i have couldn't to where you are. but for sure the problem in knees, elbows effects me almost daily. especially though when doing something like driving, working on computer with arms bent, sitting in meetings, etc.... I agree it can be so painful. I wake in the night at time with shoulder/neck cramps. the leg cramps have decreased quite a bit by being on klonopin at bedtime, a dose of baclofen and zanaflex at bedtime. I often have neck spasms that go into shoulder during the night or day. I find that at times during the day my neck will feel like gets stuck/cramps. having to work it out about only thing to do. i have had episodes of neck/shoulder spasms that my neck it drawn toward my shoulder. neuro told me to wear a soft neck collar when having issue of neck being pulled to side. thankfully i haven't had a major bout of this in a few months. still have about daily some neck cramps where feels getting stuck, or locks. by you waking up so many times at night, you aren't getting the best sleep either. that has to play on your body. have they offered anything that may help you at night at least to get better sleep? wishing you the best, and hope things get better for you. gentle hugs marfla Be Blessed Re: knees and elbows? hey marsha, my latest symptom with my last wave of progression has included (and mostly while sleeping) locking up of shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. Guest guest
hey marsha, pain is relative at this point and i just go on and try to not focus on it.....as for the sleep, actually, i take something for sleep, but those pesky pain messages override it. tried something else lately and it had me hardly able to function for 2 days after i took it and still woke up with the stuckness/pain issues. it is hard to override the pain messages with meds. i am already on near max of baclofen and xanaflex and lyrica and just about every other damn thing i am on, so that is why baclofen pump is only next option for me. the trial was a blissful hour and 1/2 and it even got rid of the essential tremor in rt hand. just praying that the pool and botox will keep me going until i am eligible for medicare in jan 07. tawny Marfla marfla04@...> wrote: tawny wow, so sorry you are experiencing so much, and pain grrrr. I feel good about this appointment for some reason. later gator marfla Be Blessed Re: knees and elbows? hey marsha, my latest symptom with my last wave of progression has included (and mostly while sleeping) locking up of shoulders, elbows, hips and knees.
