Guest guest
I may finally have to consider a hysterectomy. I am a type 1 diabetic for 7 years and now 40. I really wanted to have kids but have had problems with ectopics, fibroids, polyps, cysts, very heavy bleeding (first 3 days large pad every hour) and shooting pain down leg. However my periods are regular every 28 days. My doctor and I went through several options but think that it is best to go route of hysterectomy versus ablation so I do not have to deal with another operation down the line if fibroids grow more. I too was thinking that my sugars may be better and help bring down my A1c. I currently have my period for 2-1/2 weeks and my sugars the week before and first week are terrible. I have found little regarding H and diabetes and complications. I am worried if I go ahead I will end up with more complications or stroke! Anyone in my same situation or similar Any suggestions?
