Guest guest
Hello to all you ladies who have been through the TTC process, I'm sending this note to both the uterine fibroid and the ttcmyomectomy groups. As some of you may know, my DH and I are TTC for the first time ever after multiple myomectomies. Last night we bought a home pg test because I am four days late. Now I have never been late, have always been between 26-28 days with every cycle. Even when my fibroids were at their worst and I was on a break from the pill my cycle was consistent. Now that we have been TTC since January, I was a little suspicious when my period never came last weekend. I didn't even have the tell-tale signs of mild cramping, spotting, or even bloating. And with my periods, I can usually tell they are coming on about three days before they start. My uterus feels enlarged, but my abdomen is not puffy like when I'm on my period. I have not been sleeping well this last week, same symptoms as when I was taking that high dose of progesterone bc pill. I have been irritable, had one morning of some nausea, and feel a bit tired; and for once it's not because of anemia. These are common symptoms of pregnancy so I thought it might be possible. We tested, following all the steps exactly, and the result was negative. Could these symptoms be caused from not ovulating? I feel some slight twinges now and then like my uterine muscles are stretching but it is not painful. Could this be PID? What are the signs of uterine inflamation? This last month, in particular, I made sure we were " busy " every other day from day 8-16 of my cycle as per my RE's suggestion. I was a little disturbed that my cervical mucus was rather dry as well as my vaginal fluid during sex. This was something new for me, didn't have that problem even with the problematic fibroids. Since this is my first time TTC, reading the symptoms, and tracking the days, is it possible that I could be pregnant with a false test result? Should I make an apt with my RE to see if I even ovulated? What are the symptoms of not ovulating? Would vaginal fluids be low and dry in that case? Would you suggest Clomid to speed up our ovulation process? Should I suspect PID? Or should I be patient and just wait a few more days to see if my period comes after all? Thanks in advance for your advice on all of this. I know some of you ladies out there are experts when it comes to reading your mucus, your temps, and your symptoms. I have thought of many reasons why I have these symptoms: 1. I may be still under the influence of that high progesterone bc pill even after months of discontinuing its use, 2. I may have become emotionally stressed about a possible pg which is making my period late, or 3. My cycle could be off because I have only one ovary and it's having trouble " kicking into action " after being dormant for so many years on the pill. If any of you have advice or suggestions for me, I'd sure appreciate hearing from you. Thanks so much for your help!
