Well after reading everything I could find including all of the wonderful

information on this list, and getting a second opinion, I've decided to go ahead

with a myo. I have one 11x9 cm fibroid, symptoms include bladder

pressure/urgency, lower belly ache, and on and off digestive problems. I'm

almost 43 and my Mom didn't finish menopause until her late 50s so it feels like

too long to wait it out. I don't want more children but I also want to keep all

my original parts as long as I can!

My second opinion confirmed my first and convinced me that the original Gyn I

saw is awesome She's a fertility specialist and performs myos frequently and

has almost no conversions to hysterectomy. I'm glad I had the second opinion if

only to increase my confidence in doctor number 1.

I'm reading everything I can find about surgery prep, what to take, what to

prepare for, and recovery. Trying to keep the nerves at bay! Mostly getting

my office ready for a stretch without me is taking most of my energy and getting

my garden ready is taking the rest :)

Thanks to everyone for all the information, inspiration, and encouragement!

Cyndi
