Guest guest
All the adjustments made to my sons helmet are done at the doctors office. USA Proceedure for Day of Possession of Helmet Christian's helmet has arrived! We go on Wednesday (two days from his 9mo b'day)... somehow I thought it would be:We go to OrthoKorea, they put the helmet on, a little tweek here or there and we go home. But that's not the way it is: we go to the hospital and the Doc marks the helmet and we take it (clear across Seoul) to OrthoKorea where they trim and grind (?!) it. This seems wrong to me, lending itself to a lot of back and forth journeying. Is this normal (or just a Korea thing)? How much ajusting do they have to do to the helmet anyway - I thought the scan would make it a pretty accurate fit...?JoMom to 7 (12yrs to 8mos)youngest twin with PP OMG, Sweet deal for users/friends: Get A Month of Blockbuster Total Access, No Cost. Guest guest
It really depends on the band. The fact that you have and active band means ther will be adjustments made as your childs head grows. We had a hanger band and it took many adjustments in the beginning to get the fit right. From what I hear about Doc there are very rarely adjustments needed in the beginning - not sure about starband. I don't know how things work in Korea but for us there was an Ortho at our office that looked at the fit, marked the band and adjusted it right there. We were lucky that the office was 15 min from our home so we could go in anyime to get adjustments.
