Hi Debbie!

I had the exact same thing happen to me. I thought it was because I

was off all my vitamins and herbs. It took a while to go away. I was

even getting semi-hot flashes during the day. Then they simply went

away. Don't remember how long they lasted. I did get them again,

briefly, a few months later. Then, they stopped. Also, with my first

couple of periods a few months after surgery I did have some pain

where my largest fibroid was and some cramping. Nothing awful. I

didn't get my period for 5 months (I'm strongly perimenopausal!) and

when I got it again absolutely no pain whatsoever. None, nada, zippo.

I'm curious to hear of other women's experience. Clearly, surgery

does a major number on our hormones.

Thanks. Yeah, I am noticing all kinds of things during week 2. I also

feel really warm during the day - like hot flashes. I am really short

of breath lately and notice a lot of pain in the evening and morning.

Of course, I wake up on my stomach so that probably isn't helping the

matter. I am also having my first period. So far so good. I am used

to drenching an overnight pad within an hour. Now I can make it

almost 5 hours. WOOHOOOO!!!!

I also feel a lot of pulling. Like right now my left side feels like

someone is tugging on it.

I did have a conversation with my physician about hormones because I

read about women stating they were not having periods or not

ovulating. He said it can take awhile for the hormones to balance out

because of the shock to the system.

It is good to read other women have similar experiences so I know it

is normal. I figure six + months before everything goes completely

back to normal.
