Guest guest
Dear Juice, It sounds like you have something that is very common, most people have them ( I do not know what the medical term is ) . They are lumps of fat, appartently we can have them in any location of the body. juice01111 juice00000@...> wrote: This is kind of off-topic, but I figured with all the medical research this group has done, someone could point me in the right direction. I have been trying to find some info on a symptom I am having now, probably not fibroid related, and not having luck in my searches. Can anyone recommend good sites besides webmd and mayo clinic I should try? I have tried google searches but come up with way too many irrelavant sites. Oh, and the symptom, in case anyone has experienced this, is that I have a patch of skin on my leg that is numb. There is a lump under the skin, but there is no pain, or rash, or bruise, or tingling, and I have not hurt or cut it or anything, it's just numb. Guest guest
If this is what suggests, it is called a lipoma. They are very common. I had one removed from my back quite a few years ago (I think I tend to grow " things " -- the lipoma, fibroids, cysts, you name it). The lipoma felt like a rubbery lump under the skin (in my case, it was about egg-sized and shaped). However, I didn't have any numbness and have not heard of that being a symptom of a lipoma.
