Also, is it alright to have surgery without anyone with you? I'll have to travel to get my surgery but there's not anyone who can go with me. What do I do? Guest guest Posted May 16, 2004 Report Share Posted May 16, 2004 Even if the doctor has privileges at more than one hospital, he/she will probably tell you which hospital you'll have your surgery at. As far as going it alone goes, if you're comfortable with that and adequately prepare, you should be fine. If you're not, why not post the when and where and see if someone on the list is close by and would be willing to check in on you?
