Guest guest
Dale it would be a blessing if you have Lymes Disease because it can be cured!! I have been tested for Lymes Disease also just before Christmas by an Infectious diseases doctor. I am waiting on the results but dont hold out too much hope that I have it because there has never been a proven case of Lymes in Australia BUT having said that I was bitten by a North Coast tick which does carry a strain of the Borealis/Lymes whatever?? I pray that its Lymes for you! Good Luck Maureen in Oz
Guest guest
Yes, they say with lots of treatment and therapy ( 3 years) I could get back 50 - 70% of what I have lost. A huge law suit would follow being I am on record asking about Lymes since the beginning and now found out they lied about testing me... What test you having? You know the blood or urine tests are, at the best, 35% inaccurate, the IgenX DNA test is the best. dale Dale/Lymes Disease > Dale it would be a blessing if you have Lymes Disease because it can > be cured!! > > I have been tested for Lymes Disease also just before Christmas by an > Infectious diseases doctor. Guest guest
Dale, All this on lyme disease is very interesting. I am definitely going to pursue it. We have a small herd of deer on our place. We planted our garden in March and every morning we would find deer tracks in the fresh dirt. They checked the garden on a regular basis. In May they decided the purple eyed peas were ready (and they were, they were hanging in clusters) and cleaned the whole four rows overnight. We even put a radio in the barn at nite and turned it up loud. They loved country music and came back every night for it. LOL My symptons started slowly about March or Apr. Noticed foot stubbing once in a while, couldn't step off a small step with things in hand, noticed dark around eyes and when cleaned face at nite I would tell myself something was wrong, had sharp pain occasionally on shin at nite and had to grab leg, a few red spots appeared on my face, first on one side then the other and would go away and then show up again. Ignored these until May when I turned to the left in the kitchen and left didn't turn with me and broke arm below shoulder. This led to a funny thing, had no balance but thought it was because of sling on arm, had hard time initiating walking, eventually could barely walk by myself and went to neuro in July, 2000.. Local neuro didn't know......sent to Dallas and they said Parkinson then not PD......sent to Baylor in Houston to Jankovic and he asked me several times if I had had a rash. Told him no.But now wonder about the red spots on checks. I am going to have neuro I am using in Tyler to ck to see if Lyme was tested. They did do a Western Blot in Houston but were testing for GAD for Stiffman. Negative. Now finally to the point. We have lyme in our area because a lady across the pasture got it.She has been treated for it for probably 6 yrs and has not had an easy time. Has had neck surgery and I don't know what all but has been able to be up and doing. I did remove a tick from my leg but can'tput a time frame to it. It was before broke arm. I am forwarding an email to you I had been saving from the ALS site. If it doesn't come thru let me know. Know I can't forward here. Know it's hard for you to type so you don't have to respond. I am putting one of the links here in case any one is interested. This may be why high doses of minocycline help some ALS patients. Who knows..... http://www.ilads.org/burrascano_1102.htm Keep us informed about you, we all care. Arlene

Guest guest
Hi Dale. I have had the blood and DNA tests. I also kept telling all the neurologists about Lymes disease from the beginning but they all waved it aside. Maybe they are right but they still should have tested me for it. And I am surprised that since you are in America, where Lymes Disease can be contracted, that you were never tested first off?? I can understand them not testing me in Australia but not in the US. I pray that its Lymes for you and then go and sue them bigtime! Maureen in Oz > > Yes, they say with lots of treatment and therapy ( 3 years) I could get back > 50 - 70% of what I have lost. Guest guest
Thanks, Dale, for site. Web TV is very limited so couldn't pull up " symptons " , I get the familiar message of Webtv " This contains information that cannot be given " . Ugh What I did find on your site was the pictures of the lyme rash. I never considered a single red spot as a rash, always considered a rash as being widespread, so this was a big help. Now to trying to get neuro on it. This testing of the blood is very tricky and has to go to the right place. Take care, Arlene
