Holly-

Don't know if I can be much help on this, but I can

say that I too have experienced similar symptoms and

have been told a variety of things. I also had a lot

of pressure/pain and then didn't have much. Some have

said that the fibroids kind of ebb and flow in size

based on the time of month and the hormonal changes

going on. Others have told me that it could mean that

the fibroids have grown out beyond the realm of the

uterus and that is why the pressure has been lessened.

I just thought I'd throw it out there for you. Maybe

it will stir up some other comments about what is

going on. Any other ladies out there on that kind of

roller coaster of symptoms?

My life has been a roller coaster of symptoms for the last two years.

There are some months where I felt great and others where the pain

was unbearable. I was never really able to pinpoint what caused the

good months. I decided to have a myo because my fibroids continue to

grow and because of the one consistent symptom - heavy bleeding. Some

months were lighter than usual, but still abnormal compared to other

women. Although, I will admit I did not know until about 6 months ago

that other women did not go through a box of tampons a period. A

friend told me it can take her 3-6 months to go through a 40 box.

You don't say what procedure your having, the location or size of

fibroids. I would recommend doing some reading from the book list of

recommendations, spending time on this list serve and meditating on

what is best for you.
