Guest guest
Hi Ladies- I've been living with my large fibroids for years, holding out and hoping they would shrink. It's not only NOT happening, but I have this new symptom that is very disconcerting and I'd appreciate feedback. I have this burning sensation across my abdomen. It is constant and very bothersome. Any ideas? In general, I feel I have waited TOO long, living in magical thinking and clinging to Dr. 's words, that these fibroids would shrink. Instead, though the bleeding has ceased, the pain, the pressure, the hardness, the heaviness, the bloating and this new burning sensation have taken over, increased and even 400 mg. of motrin isn't putting a dent in any of it. Suddenly, I feel a need to have surgery NOW, even if its a hysterectomy and before even a UFE sounded too invasive. Unfortunately, I am in a lot of pain now and scheduling surgery doesn't happen overnight. Please help with any/all feedback. Rita
Guest guest
Hi,Rita. I only had burning sensations after serious stretching (like major wallpapering) so if I were you and in constant pain. I'd go to the ER asap and they'll give you somthing for the pain and maybe an x-ray will help figure out your problem...could be something else that maybe doesn't require surgery. Please don't suffer needlessly. Best wishes JanG > I've been living with my large fibroids for years, > holding out and hoping they would shrink.
