Guest guest
Hi Do not let your doctor pursuade you to do this!! You will regret it and it sounds like you want to have kids!! You didn't mention your age. The gyno's think a hysterectomy will solve everything!! What they don't tell you is that you could be trading 1 set of problems for a whole new set. There are other alternatives, you just need to do some research. If I were you, I'd look into myo. How big is your fibroid?? If it is small enough, you may qualify for some other removal procedures. I had heavy bleeding, gushing, hemmoraging and clotting. We waited but it only got worse and worse!!! I found out about the UFE (Uterine Fibroid Embolization) and got a lot of my info from the other group Embo group (Yahoo) and with their help and support, I got through it. I'm 1 month post and feeling like I've got my life back again. Look into that also, it produces excellent results and for me, my bleeding has been shut off like a switch. Bulk symtoms will take time as with shrinkage. I still have to pee often! I had a 10 cm fibroid. (Hopefully shrinking as I write!) Oh if you loook into UFE, women have had successful pregnancies after and are able to get pregnant, but the docs (IR's) state that this is kind of unknown territory. You could talk to the ladies on the Embo board about this. Good luck, Jen -- In uterinefibroids , wrote: > If anyone has come the this stage with fibroids and has had to address it. Tell me about there experiences. I will welcome it. Am I crazy or just going thru perimenopausal symptoms?
