Guest guest
For those of you that need a little smile I would love to share with you my comical ultrasound day. I work 1 hour away from the hospital. Drank all that flipping water 2 hours prior to my appt. Get half way to the hospital and there is a major car pile-up on the bridge just ahead of me. I was literally stuck there for 2 hours and I phoned the hospital to tell them that I would definitely not make my 4:00 p.m. appt. They told me that if I was there by 4:30 p.m. they would still take me. Sitting for 2 hours with a full bladder on the middle of a bridge is something I will never forget. I was close to tears from pain and very worried that I would miss my appt. that I had waited over 1 month to get. I contemplated either peeing right in the car as I could barely hold on....or walking out of the car...leaving it there and walking across the bridge to find any shrub near the side of the road....I was that desperate.....then 2 hours later at 4:15 I am off the bridge and driving frantically towards the hospital when...guess what?????? Train Toot Toot.....Oh my.....life just doesn't get much better does it. Anyway to make a long story short I made it into admitting at 4:27 p.m...practically crawling because I could not walk..... and they let me release some of it. Good News!!!! My grapefruit the doctor felt pelvically is in fact only about 5 cm long and not a grapefruit at all. I asked about my ovaries as that was a big fear and she told me that " she is not a doctor....but they looked normal " . I can live with my fibroid the size that it is as my only symptom is frequent need to pee. I will read all of your posts and educate myself and go for my yearly exam and ultrasound. Thanks for listening....it wasn't funny at the time....but I am so happy with my ultrasound that I can look back and smile :
