Guest guest
Week three was when I went off all the hormones (Lupron and Megace)and they cleared my system. It was the worst. I had so many symptoms that it was like drowning. Pain during walking was the first sign with the indigestion and burning at the incision site. The pain while walking got worse and worse until by the two month marker I was ready to try anything. The doctor insists it is not related to this mostrecent myo but an acculated effect of three surgeries in a year and three months, four almost five years of moderate to severe anemia, and the last six months of hormones bleeding etc post myo 1. They said that the whole situation has weekend my muscles. If you read my earlier post the Lupron (at doses 9,10 and 11)was causing random contractions in all muscle groups(it was like tiny localized seizures). Today I went in for physical therapy and was asked to do ten leg lifts on one leg then the other leg. My legs were shaking after five. I used to do these by the hundreds. I wasn't terribly afraid until I saw that today. Until then I'd been angry irritated but that is ridiculous. I wasn't walking or lifting weights, I was lifting a leg that didn't even have a gym shoe on the foot. I am worried. The therapist says give it time. He is saying in a year I will be running. Why did this happen? Did I wait too long between transfusions? Did I take the wrong meds? I cannot find anyone else listing the muscle issues but I cannot find studies on long term lupron or multple myomectomies in one year. I will keep up the physical therapy and try not to be too scared to make good choices but I wish there was a library of research to look through. I need answers. e --- deduncan94010 deduncan94010@...> wrote: > What happened in Week 3 that went so wrong? I feel > so bad for you!
Guest guest
Fran Benadryl helped with the itching and if you think that the swelling is unusual ask your Doc if it is an infection first. I hope you can find some relief. What kind of muscular problems are you having? e --- FNicolay francesca@...> wrote: > Now i am experiencing muscular problems - very swollen > abdomen and burning and swelling all around the > incision. i don't know what to do. i am 4 weeks post myo now.
