Guest guest
Hi, everyone, Does anyone know LaLande from Acworth, Ga.? was diagnosed in 2001 with PLS at the Emory Clinic in Atlanta. In a Letter to the Editor in the June-July issue of the MDA/ALS NEWSMAGAZINE. stated that her speech was the first to be affected and has gradually progressed to her legs and arms. A few month ago while enjoying a laugh over a funny situation, her usual long running laugh turned into crying. After experiencing the same thing a few months later, she put two and two together and decided it had to be the PLS causing the problem. She wrote the letter after reading about pseudobulbar affect ( " PBA Symptoms No Laughing Matter " ) in the March issue of the NEWSMAGAZINE. Now she knows that she is not " losing it! " It is GREAT to see a PLSer participate in MDA/ALS and ever GREATER to to see recognition in the NEWSMAGAZINE. Don
