Hi, Everybody:

First, a rousing round of LOL applause to the very responsive Marsha Weaver

for her quick letter of commendation sent to praise the Las Vegas TV station

that produced the piece about UAE.

Now, I don't mean to go and nit-pick, especially when it concerns an

otherwise very informational piece.....

but, fellow LOL....what about this final comment on the article, which Carla

posted here?

" Uterine fibroids are likely to disappear on their own after menopause. "

Interestingly, about a year ago, I ALSO saw/heard health guru Dr. Weil

tell a woman with symptomatic fibroids --on TV's " Larry King Live " show-- who

was calling in-- " not to worry " --because once menopause arrives, " FIBROIDS

DISAPPEAR. "

Ahhhhh, Dr. Weil---if only that were the case!

Paging Dr. ! Paging Dr. !!

No wait!! Cancel the Dr. Bill page!-- " Cause we've already got a very recent

post of his addressing this very topic--one that will set the record straight.

If memory serves me correctly, Dr. stated that fibroids ordinarily

shrink about 50%, after menopause, and that most reduction occurs by the

six-month point. Although it is possible for fibroids to decrease beyond that

point.

BUT- There's a big difference between shrinking in half ........and actually

" DISAPPEARING " --no?

The topic of menopausal fibroid shrinkage comes off so often on this list, I

thought it deserved some clarification.

As always, with uterine fibroids, 'ya gotta read between the " lyings. "

Sex....Lies....& The Truth About Uterine Fibroids, take 27.

Faithfully,

Fibroid Facts Fault-Finder,
