Guest guest
Hi Nickey, My, oh my! You have had a busy couple of months. But it's great news that you have a firm dx and are on your road to recovery. I had the lap/hyst to help correct my T-shape back on 10/06/05 and I had the balloon catheter for 12days. I do remember still feeling some cramps for a couple of days after the balloon was removed, it could be a normal healing process. As for the gas, that could be from the surgery itself. I had gas for a couple of days after surgery (and a little bit of constipation, sorry hope that's not TMI) but the nurse said both were normal after the general anesthetics. I pray for a quick recovery and happy, healthy 2006! PCOS, T-shape ttc #1 since 01/2003 noodlenickey nickeynoodle@...> wrote: Hi Everyone, This message board has been so great! I have learned so much so far! Quick history: 8/29/05 - diagnosed with SU or BU 9/22/05 - m/c through D&C (@ 6 1/2 weeks) 11/7/05 - HSG however still didn't know if SU or BU 12/8/05 - Laparoscopy / Hysteroscopy - determined I was SU removed septum (that took up 1/3 of the uterus) 1/12/06 - Follow up HSG 1/16/06 - Touch up Hysteroscopy w/ uterine balloon 1/18/06 - Removal of Uterine balloon My Questions: I just had my second hysteroscopy for my " touchup " and also had a uterine balloon put it. It was removed yesterday, but every since then I have been experiencing weird cramping every once and a while and bad gas. Has anyone had that before? Guest guest
, Thanks so much for your feedback. (and no it was not TMI ) I can't imagine a uterine catheter for 12 days mine was only in for 2 days and it was driving me nuts. By the way what is PCOS? Guest guest
Nickey, Yeah, 12days was no picnic. I didn't really have much of a problem until the 9th day, but the last 3 days were pretty much unbearable. It made me rethink my plan to one day have a “natural” birth! Maybe my pain tolerance level isn’t quite as high as I thought! Oh well, I’ll cross that bridge when it gets here. PCOS is short for Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome. There is no universal definition because it has many different symptoms, but it basically all comes down to a hormone imbalance that causes problems with ovulating, irregular or no menses, excess body hair growth, occasionally baldness, and often obesity, diabetes and hypertension. It’s relatively new in the medical field so they are still learning a lot. There are several different symptoms and many who are dx have different combos of the symptoms.
