Guest guest
Hi I hope you are having an easy recovery. I never used Vitamin E. I actually used " shea butter " from Bath and Body works. I had a bandage on for the first two weeks but starting applying the lotion the day after the bandage came off. I started noticing a difference within a few days. Hope this helps --- " B. Guest guest
Hi . A relative who is a nursing student recommended vitamin E when I saw her at 3 weeks post myo, and I started using it daily then. I don't know if I could have earlier or not, but probably could have. I used it for about 6 weeks and never noticed an effect at all so I stopped, but I know some people swear by it. Anyway my incision was never bad, it started out as a thin pink line (stitches were all internal & absorbable, nothing to remove, with a hard ridge under the incision), then got red (not inflamed, just more pronounced) and now is starting to fade and the hard ridge is softening. Doc said it would be almost invisible and totally soft at 6 months.
