Guest guest Posted March 16, 2004 Report Share Posted March 16, 2004 I recently had a bleeding episode that was like a normal menstural period - except the previous one was three years ago. I had a cervical polyp removed and an endometrial biopsy done (no abnormal results) after some earlier minor spotting. This time the doctor said he thought fibroids were causing the bleeding. (No question that I have them - but I haven't had reason to treat them before). He suggested hysteroscopy (makes sense to me) and endometrial ablation (doesn't make sense). I've posted here before about how to get a second opinion, and how to persuade the first doctor to answer questions. Meanwhile I am also trying to educate myself - so, has anyone else had post-menopausal bleeding related to fibroids? What has your experience been?
