Hello, I have just joined this web site; after reading some of your e-mail

find fascinating. I am having a little trouble getting to the question site; if

there is one?

I have a question related to a 6cm fibroid that I have had for at least

a yr I just turned 49 ,had a period June 03, then Aug. 03. then Sept.

continued to bleed everyday till the beginning of Nov. I even had to cancel my

regular Gyn yearly checkup in Oct. because of the bleeding. I went to another

scheduled appointment in Nov. started to bleed the morning of the appointment,

went

anyway. Finally in Dec. I had a sonohyst that showed this fibroid, Dr.

scheduled a Hystoscopy for Feb.5th. When she went in she couldn't find the

fibroid;

it was gone, so she did a DNC. The expanation was it could have been a polup &

it came out on it's own. My answer to that was I haven't had any bleeding

since the sonohyst in Dec. I also had a pap & a biopsy of the fibroid then,

which

was negative..

My Mom had a stage 4 cervical cancer 2 yrs. ago. No surgery; chemo &

radiation. Hope this gets to someone that can share some info. Have a great

day!

Pamela

Thanks Ann,

I have an appt tomorrow with an Invitro specialist, i think she is also an

endocrinologist...I am 51 but I want to keep my uterus and hope that she can

offer something to get me through to menopause. I've search everything on weird

bleeding patterns and come up with zero...but I can't shake the feeling that

there is something hormonal driving the bleeding. It will be interesting to see

what you turn up.

Jean,

That's a good question...I don't have sleep habits...I'm 51 and having so many

night sweats that I barely get any sleep. But melatonin sounds like a

possibility...I'll mention it tomorrow when I see the endocirnologist.

Thanks
