Dear Mikell,

This is great advice- i was hoping someone would say

something reassuring like this, to the effect 'this is

what it feels like when your cervix starts to shorten'

- which would be expected around this time for me.

Hi ,

This is interesting- i think it does potentially apply

to me since we both have MAs and I was wondering if

this kind of cramping meant I was going to go into

labor in the next few days... sort of a harbinger of

things to come, and if so, I was wondering how long I

have. Thank you so much for writing i really

apprecite it. Ill keep u posted!

Heidi - glad the info was helpful, please keep us posted on how you

are doing.

BTW, a good friend of mine (doesn't have an MA) had her baby girl this

morning. My friend was 35 weeks, 6 days. Both are fine, babies lungs

are perfect, no NICU time, not even an extra long stay at hospital is

expected. Just thought this would be cheerful news just in case your

babe does decide to make an early appearance!!

I just saw this, and I hope everything is okay. I have a SU, and as

you may remember, delivered my daughter at 40 weeks. I didn't have

any cramps like this, but what someone else said made perfect sense

about the cervix shortening and getting ready. Hope you got checked

out and got some reassurance. That is just AWESOME that you are at

35 weeks. Amazing. Best to you!!

Hi Heidi

I wish I had asked this same question to these ladies 2 years ago

and maybe I would have realized I did need to get in to the DR. My

son was born at 30weeks. For two days I felt like you're feeling and

thought it was nothing and that I just didn't feel good. WELL my

water ended up breaking and the rest is history. CALL YOUR DR!!!!!!!

Just to make sure. Congrats on making it to 35 weeks!!!!!
