Guest guest
Well I did it! I had my myo on Thursday the 22nd. I came home today and am feeling pretty good. I am on pain medicine about every 6 hours so the pain has been very tolerable. My doctor removed a grapefruit size fibroid that was inside the uterus and also 2 smaller ones that were hiding behind the large one that we didn't know about. The anticipation to the surgery was the hardest part of this whole thing for me. I'm not gonna say it has been a walk in the park but it is definitely not as bad as I had imagined! And to Becky Estes,I had my surgery at UAB in Birmingham,Al. My doctor's name is Blackwell. He is a RE at the Kirklan Clinic and I have been very pleased with him. Hope that helps! Guest guest
hi, I hope you have a quick recovery and a comfortable fibroid free life. how old are you? was your fibroid symptom free? was the grapefruit size one an intamural one? I have a 10 cm intramural one, too. I dont have symptoms. smiln2004 smiln2004@...> wrote: I had my myo on Thursday the 22nd. Guest guest
I am 29 and was pretty much symptom free....It was pressing on my bladder so I visited the bathroom alot. Also, I would have bleeding between periods but that was about the extent of my symptoms. I chose to have the surgery for fertility reasons....I was told that the location of my big fibroid would prevent me from conceiving and carrying a child to term....My fibroid was located inside my uterus..therefore taking up the entire thing. (not sure if that is called intramural or not!) Hope this helps... -- In uterinefibroids , s v wrote: > how old are you? was your fibroid symptom free? was the grapefruit > size one an intamural one?
