Guest guest
Dear , I am in Toronto. It would be nice to find a surgeon in Canada but if I do not I will go the US. The wonderful women in this group are very helpful in the fact that they will honestly tell you about the good but also the bad and ugly. At this moment I do not know any that is good here in Canada. There is a doctor at ST Mike's in Toronto that if very well known for his good skills for embolizing, his name is Dr. A. Commons.

Guest guest
Hi I live just outside of Toronto and have had two embolizations, both with Dr. Kachra. He was an excellent doctor, albeit young. I wanted to see Dr Common (his reputation is excellent for UAE) but his waitlist was too long for my patience, especially with our health care system here. I am having a myomectomy with Dr Liu (at Women's College in Toronto). She is a fabulous gynecologist and is well-reknowned for her Laparoscopic and surgical skill. I've had to wait 6 months for the surgery, but I believe it is well worth the wait. Contact me personally at:: skykatherine67 @ hotmail.com if you would like or need more info. Good luck sKY:: > Dear , > > I am in Toronto. It would be nice to find a surgeon in Canada but if I do not I will go the US. Guest guest
Hi - Why did you need two embolizations? skykatherine67 skykatherine67@...> wrote: Hi I live just outside of Toronto and have had two embolizations, both with Dr. Kachra. Guest guest
Hi Amy I needed two embolizations because the first UAE failed (the initial yblood supply ws cut off but my large fibroid wasn't having any of that, and found a new supply). I actually was on the operating table, an hour into my second UAE when my IR told me that my fibroid was now being fed by my ovarian arteries and 'did i want him to continue?'. Gosh, no one had told me about this potentiality, but luckily, in my drugged state, I had the know-how to say 'NO'. I had the feeling that by embolizing my ovarian arteries, it could somehow push me into menopause. Where I came up with that reasoning in that kind of state, I'll never know. But I was correct. The possibility was there. So I am very grateful to have stopped the second embolization ... So medically speaking, I only had one complete UAE, but physically I went thru the process and prep for two. I'm have a myomectomy in July. I figured that I did the best that I could with what I had available to me, so I'm at peace with going into surgery to have it finally extracted. Good luck! sKY:: > Hi > I live just outside of Toronto and have had two embolizations, both > with Dr. Kachura. He was an excellent doctor, albeit young.
