Guest guest
Hi Jeanne, I am really concerned that they would even consider a hyst for this! I had me submucosal fibroid shaved down via hysteroscopy in November. There is still some left in the Uterine wall but we are watching and waiting (I should be in Menopause soon). My symptoms Bleeding, clots, etc.are completely gone which is the goal usually. My Dr. didn't even consider Hysterectomy as an option. Are you a position to find another Dr.? From what I was told as they shave the fibroid down some of it from the Uterus comes forward so they can get more of it. I know I have some left from an ultrasound done a month later but I am completely free of symptons. If you can't get another opinion what about expressly forbidding a hyst? You do not have to have a procedure done that you do not want. There's plenty of articles online about hystocopic resection's. Get informed and don't consent to a hyst if you don't want one. Guest guest
Unfortunately it is not unusual to have hyst recommended for submcusousal fibroids. I had a submucousal fibroid that was on a stalk and the first doctor I saw recommended hyst. Fortunately I found this group and learned about resection AND was able to find a doctor in my area who knew how to do it. > I am really concerned that they would even consider a hyst for this!
