Guest guest
Jackie-- my stomach was totally flat on the day of the surgery, right after the surgery but it did not stay that way. It was amazing how tiny I looked right after the surgery. My stomach had not looked like that in years. Then, it swelled gradually over the next few days and within a week it was HUGE. I was wearing maternity pants to be comfortable. I am now 3 months post myo and some of the swelling is gone but I still have swelling on my left side where the doctor attempted to do a laparoscopy. My healing has been slower than others, I will guess it will be another few weeks for you but could be several months. There does not seem to be a " normal " time frame for this. I just hope that my few hours of post op tiny tummy are a sign of what will be after my swelling is gone.

Guest guest
Jackie--I replied to your message.....you'll see my post above. I am 3 months post myo, still have swelling. I made a mistake when I read your post--I thought you said you were only 5 weeks post myo, not 5 months. I guess you are taking a slow route to healing, like I am. I was wondering, do you still have pain? I am sore every day. I did not expect this!! Will see Dr. on 3/
