Hi, I was wondering how long your incision hurts after a myo.?

How long were you on Motrin or other anti-inflammatory ?

Also how long does it hurt to cough or sneeze ?

How you handle sneezing ?

It nearly kills me. I try to hold my abdomen with a pillow but it doesn't do

that much to help. I bought an abdominal support which helps.

THANKS,

I would say it was a solid 3 weeks before I could sneeze, cough, or

laugh without any pain. As far as the motrin......I really did not

take any after 2 weeks. Everyone is different though. Try holding

on to that pillow tighter (I found that helped me). :) Hang in

there...it will get better!

I can't help you with the incision question but as for

the the sneezing I might have a trick. I had to have

some surgery done on my front teeth which involved my

sinus cavity and I wasn't allowed to sneezed for a few

days. Yeah right I thought. The dentist showed me a

trick to stiffle a sneeze and it worked for me.

When you feel a sneeze coming on take your index

finger and place it just under your nose above your

upper lip and press until you feel the sneeze has

stiffled. It worked for me. Try it and see if it works

for you.

Good Luck,

Diane
