Guest guest
Thanks C., found the info requested off Yahoogroups.com. Yes Geo, they ran a spinal tap on me in the very beginning at the MDA and everything was negative, therefore, they quickly ruled out MS in the very beginning. Had another spinal tap November 2004 when they were testing me for the Baclofen pump and everything was said to be negative then for MS? However, yesterday during me visit, topics were discussed that I do not remember discussing in the past. Two topics, heat and humidity raised red flags and the jerky movement of my eyes following her finger left and right in front of me. Another flag was how quick I can turn to mush in a matter of ten minutes and then with a short nap feel fine. In doing some research last evening, one of the early tests (not used today) was to submerge a person in hot water and those with MS would almost immediately turn to mush and I do that every day when bathing. My definition of mush is being so weak and stiff that the body does not respond to what my brain is telling it to do. Tell me to lift my leg and end up dragging it. On real humid days, I find myself feeling the same way. Fortunately, most of the medicines for PLS are used on MS patients and the Baclofen pump is also used. Oh well, now scheduled for all the tests again, MRIs, EEGs, EMGs, etc. OH BOY! Thank you all for the help.
