Guest guest
Hi Pikea, I am living proof that you can get pg with multiple fibroids. I had an abdominal myomectomy 5 years ago to remove 15 fibroids. Then they came back with a vengeance, confirmed in an u/s I had in January 2003. But my doctor knew I was getting married in April so she recommended ttc as soon as possible after we got married rather than getting a 2nd myo. She said it could be very difficult to conceive b/c of the fibroids so my husband and I started trying right away thinking it would take a year. Well, to our surprise, I got pg right away! I too am 34 and now I have a beautiful healthy baby girl (Paige). There are many other women who have gotten pg with fibroids as you will hear from them too. The only thing I wish my doctor had warned me about is the potential problems that fibroids can cause during pregnancy. I wouldn't change what I did and am going to try again in a couple of months without surgery but it would have helped to know the problems I you can encounter (which I did). I was on bed rest for 5-1/2 months. Some women have no problems; others, like me have a lot of problems during their pregnancies. I just think being more educated helps! Good luck! --- pikeasdream pdstinks@...> wrote: > I'm 34yrs old with 7 sizable fibroids. Has anyone > been able to get pregnant with this many fibroids or after the > treatment to get them removed?
