Guest guest
Hi Geri, We did 3 rounds of DMSA before switching to ALA only, and saw small improvements afterwards. This was not done under our DAN physician but us moving forward. However our DAN physician wants to do a detox profile that is quite involved so we held off chelating for a while. We just started again this weekend after probably 3 months off (kids were sick and other issues came up). We are also seeing a pediatric allergists who has his own therioes, some of which we agree with. I will say that having our son on mild steroids gave him hist first solid bowel movements in almost 2 years, but then he came down with a stomach bug and his bowel movements haven't been solid since. Good luck. Jay > Hello everyone, > > My name is Geri, and I'm the mother of a 3 year old daughter with > autism. I have so far had 3 rounds of ALA chelation only, and have > seen progress. Guest guest
Hello Geri, I have a three year old son and am doing ALA only as well(every weekend, every 3 hours during the day and 4 at night). We were on Round 7 this weekend but had to stop last night due to fever and vomiting. My son has vomited during three of the seven rounds and has run a fever during two of the seven. I don't know if it is coincidence or related (he does go to preschool so he is exposed to alot of bugs). I would love to hear any feedback, thoughts or opinions on that from anyone as it has me worried/perplexed. We too have seen good things. I would love to stay in touch with you as we go through this to share and learn together. Please feel free to e-mail me off list if you want to. -KIM [ ] ALA treatment only, looking for others Hello everyone, My name is Geri, and I'm the mother of a 3 year old daughter with autism. Guest guest
Hi Kim, My daughter is also in preschool, and she did vomit once during the first round, but no fever. I adjusted the amount and gave her a lower dosage, and she seemed ok. I was a little worried, but I think it was the toxins coming out of her system. I'm also giving her chlorella (sic?), I buy Green Juice from Trader Joe's, and she seems to like it. So I'm hoping that it will kind of remove the mercury even more. Feel free to email me as well! I use ALA only. My son is fully chelated now and I do maintenance rounds only. ALA allowed my son to eat all foods without any problems whatsoever. It caused other improvements also. I would say it was about 60% of his recovery. You can read his story here, if you want http://www.danasview.net/myson.htm Dana
