Guest guest
Hello Sherri, I am 36 ttc for the last one half years. Didn't know why and when i went to see a gyna in October 2003 - through ultrasound- he discovered that it was because of fibroids. I have multiple small ones about 3cm with the description as yours. He said that unless the " bugs " were removed i will not be able to conceive. He also suggested that he could use Lupron to shrink them then give me fertility pills to conceive. I have seen three other gynas since then and they have said my fibroids are not the reason- so i have been to see an endocronologist- she also says that fibroids are not an issue in this case- my husband and i are to carry out some tests to find out that everything else is ok.. then i will have to go on a fertility program. The bleeding, fatigue, mood swings and not able to conceive really bothers us (marital relationship)-- we come from a background that believes very much in children, where a woman without children is not worth... this can even lead to a man " marrying " another woman who can give him children. Besides solving issues of infertility... i also have to go through this painful societal expectations- it has emmotinally drained me. Our families demands that i should have a baby to " prove " that i am a wowan. Sherri you might want to seek another opinion from another specialist. Best of luck as you ttc. Guest guest
Hi Neggy, what can i say?? My husband works alot but the reason i went to my GP is because i had a different kind of pain throughout my periods for the last two months. My GP recommended the Chief of Gyno! I did not hesitate...my husband works all over the clock..it's hard when he has been gone for over 24 hours and you have to be up at 5:30 am! The specialist i went to is one of the top specialist's in Toronto...my mother did not have me until she was 36 then had my brother at 39...she had a similar problem and the GP did not remove anything...my mother is now 78 years old...we will just pray and hope for everyone that is going thru this and wish everyone all the best...it's not easy when considering two out of my three friends who got married last year are all expecting..it's hard...it just goes to show that you cannot take alot for granted..LOTS OF BABY DUST!!
