Hmm, hair loss.. Im think PCOS, should advise your Dr to test for this, could be

an indication

Yes, iron deficiency anemia can contribute to hair loss. I've been

anemic for years and my hair is about 2/3 of what it used to be. I've

been taking iron supplements, had a myo, and now no longer anemic. I am

hoping for more normal hair growth soon.

Hey Ladies,

I am scheduled for a myo on 5/19...and I hope that solves most of the

problems I have with my period..I do have a problem where im eating lots

& lots & lots of ice...I eat about 2 bags og ice a week...so the grocery

store is making good money off of me just buying ice. Any who....I know

thats probably an indication that Im anemic..but is hair loss an

I'm pretty sure hair loss can be associated with anemia.

Totally unscientific reply- but my fibroids were diagnosed as

something way more serious early on and that stress caused my hair to

fall out for a few weeks. After myo surgery I was borderline anemic

(10.7)but didn't crave ice.

Hi,

What was your blood level like post myo? I am anemic and would like to know how

far I need to be before surgery thanks.

My GP said (1 week) post surgery that I was 10.7 after doing a finger

prick test and that I didn't need the iron pills the surgeon

prescribed, just red meat and broccoli. just had blood work in today

and I'm not anemic but bleeding is much heavier now so was suprised.

I had huge fibroids in bad places but bleeding was not an issue pre
