Guest guest
Yeah, i know the animal thing. We have 1 newt, 4 goldfish, 1 crab and 1 snail in a 10 gallon tank. Then we have a salamander in a nother 10 gallon tank. Then we have 1 male hamster in a cage and 1 female hamster in another cage with 6 babies. (My daughters' project. They sell the babies.) I also have a golden retriever, 3 persian cats, 1 main coon cat, 180 gallon saltwater fish tank, and a 30 gallon saltwater fish tank. So, as you can see, i live in a pet store. lol but I am kind of a germ freak so I feel like i am constantly cleaning, scooping, vacuuming, or scrubbing something. My youngest daughter wants to be a vet when she grows up. I was thinking of sending her to college for it right now so I can get free service. For some reason, they won't accept her....something about only being 7 years old. Dena > > Well my teeth are feeling a little better, yeah right. I've only > > eaten rice. LOL! Guest guest
Okay, I said my last post was it for the weekend! Just one more? Sound like my lil boy! Ya, I getcha. My youngest is not the only pet crazy one in our house. My 10 yr. old ( Asia ) is an animal lover and wants to be a vet too. She & her cousin have plans to buy my parents property where they are not still living and open a shelter/vet office. They have shared these plans with my mom who says if they get ready the property is theirs. I think she said it because she thinks their plans will change. They just may call her on that one. When her cousin stays with us they are always getting on the net and searching on shelter sites dreaming of giving a home to many dogs they see. I love animals too and also planned to be a vet until about 8th grd. when I decided I didn't have the stomach for the blood and did not want to see them hurt. It's hard after you have kids to give the attention to them they deserve so I don't get to enjoy them as much as I once did. But the kids help in that department. We have a male chow who is my boy- I love him & a had a female 1/2 chow 1/2 german shepard who died getting hit at camp this summer. We had 4 litters of puppies before getting mom fixed. We had so much fun with them each time. But after the girls started searching all these shelter sites I started feeling guilty and we finally got mom fixed. This was just before she got hit and we still had one pup who was also with us at camp. There was no way we could part with him after this happened to moma. He was sad all day - he knew. Well I'v rambled on. Enjoy your critters! Abundant Blessings, Macky > > > Well my teeth are feeling a little better, yeah right. I've only > > > eaten rice. LOL! Guest guest
Ya know, half way is a huge accomplishment. Congratulations! Let me know how church service goes if you get a chance. My 13 year old son went to an out of town youth conference last Fri. and Sat. He never complains about church but does not get real involved during the singing during praise & worship. Last Sun. after his youth conference he gave a short testimony about his experience at the conference and during singing he was actually clapping his hands to the music! I had to elbow my husband to be sure he didn't miss it!- The only time he has got involved in the singing was last Dec. when we took a group to the Newsboys concert(christian) and even then I was kind of pushing him to join the rest of us. It is exciting to see God working in my childrens lives! Take care Bobby. Guest guest
Marsha, hang in there! I honestly had never been the jelous type and I came home from the tubal right after the birth of my son feeling like my husband was going to find a a new woman. I think it had everything to do with these deep feelings of disgust with myself. I felt so terrible about myself with no good reason except that I had a tubal. It did not bother me at the time that I had the tubal. The effects from the tubal bothered me huge but the thought did not bother me. Does that make sense? Anyway I questioned everything back then. Was it the tubal? Was it post partum which I didn't know as I had not felt it with my first two. Now I think maybe it was both! I know I got alot better yet I still had alot of symtoms. I loved my lil' boy so much and we were so glad to have him but it was real rough, the first year especially. I was so convinced my husband did not want to be with me yet he stayed and was so forgiving of me. He said he believed it was the tubal too when I started to figure the timing out. I'm so thankful to my husband in all of this. If I had been on the other end I don't think I could have beared what he did. I guess a mans strong emotional side is a great thing. If you have not shared the stories from other women here with your husband, you gotta! That can really help for your husband to see it really effects alot of women this way and it's not just how you tend to handle it. Many of us felt like we were going crazy after our tubal. Just seeing the stories from others made me finally feel like I was not alone in this and helped me be able to just go to my husband and say " I really need you to hold me for a few minutes. " Well it would end up being longer than a few min. usually and I would just cry and cry into his shoulder instead of punching it! Because I finally did not judge myself so hard when these feelings crept up and I did not have to be so embarrassed that I needed a good cry. I grew up being such a tough child and hardly shed a tear and if I did I wanted to be in private. I had a hard time leaning on anyone. I've had good friends and family comment on this. With the symtoms I kind of thought I was making up for lost time! I did not talk about what was going on for so long out of embarrassment and shame. At times I felt like we were like druggies or alcoholics because of the fighting. It tore me up and yet every month I would say " okay I will do better next month - next cycle! I really don't feel the anger towards the medical field I did for awhile either so I think that's why I have not persued ideas to figure out how to get the word out. I've let it rest and then when I start talking & hearing others stories I think " boy we really should try to get the word out in every way we can to save others from what we went through. " As far as your ex, I can understand how you would feel. I can only say that prayer asking God to help you forgive your husband can really help. It has dome amazing things between me and my ex. Sometimes I have to go back and cover it in prayer again as I feel bad feling creep up again. My situation is not the same as yours but with God my ex's family and ours are doing surprisingly well together. I am a way I could not be with them without God - really! Sorry so dang long!
