Guest guest
Vi, I was laughing at your expression. I am glad you have had a successful UAE. I just hope and pray my goes good next week. I didnt quite go through that many pads in one day, but I am going through 8 a day. Oh thank goodness to Always; I was using the cheat ones and that was not working for me. I am like you I have to wear dark pants to work or going out anywhere. I never know when I will start bleeding and I dont won't blood all over me either. I know today at work I started passing blood clots and I was running to the restroom every 2 mins and I had a coworker to say to me are you peeing that much, and I said no I am passing blood clots and I have to come to the restroom. I would rather be at home when that happens, but you know as well as I do that don't always happen. How much shrinkage have you had since your UAE? Take care. Guest guest
Vi, If you don't mind sharing a wee bit more, would you be willing or can you explain why keeping your uterus was so important to you? I ask because I've had horrid periods all my life, so I've never EVER been on " good terms " with mine. I guess my perspective is I could finally be getting rid of a major pest. I wondered if your 'attachement' to your uterus was more emotional, or you had some real concerns about the surgery or the potential consequences of removal or all of the aforementioned. Thank you. Guest guest
: The reason I wished to keep my uterus was that it was MINE. I was even more concerned with the outcome of hysterecomy and didn't want to have that part of me taken away. After all, it was the fibroids that were the problem, not the uterus. You do not get rid of a brand new car because one tire goes flat. You get rid of the tire. No, I do not want any more kids. My baby is 19 and I'm not even dreaming of having another kid. (I had a tubal ligation in 1998). I'm thankful for UAE because it gave me the right to retain my uterus. And I've always been against hysterectomy, but if there was no other option, I would had settled for it because I suffered so much.
