Guest guest
Hi, Jayelle Good luck with your myo. I'm 29 years old and have already had two myos done. You will definitely feel a great sense of relief. Although, I've never had any problems with cold sores afterwards. Anyway, good luck and let me know how it went. I'm getting myo late next month, and I am both looking forward to it and a little bit scared. Thank you both so much for sharing your experiences, and I'll look out for cold sores! (I've never had those.) Blessed be, Jayelle
Guest guest
I was fibroid free for 4 years. I managed to stretch it out to 6 years, where I then couldn't take the discomfort, pain, and bleeding any longer. I had a laparoscopy done last year in September, because I was still having discomfort after my myo in January, and my doctor suspected that I may have scar tissue. Luckily, the only thing he found were some misplaced organs. He moved them in the direction they should've been and afterwards I was fine. Although, he did say he saw a very small fibroid growing. So, I figure I need to make some life changing decisions (change the way that I eat) so that in another 4-6 years I won't have to go through another myo. My biggest problem right now is that I don't have children and I would like to have them someday. Angelina
Guest guest
Hi Pam, I changed my surgery from a hyst to a myo, the day before my surgery. I am 45. It was the best decision I have ever made. I am so happy I did not have my uterus removed! My periods {2 so far} have been light! I am very glad I found this list in time! Guest guest
Angelina, I don't know your age, but if you want children, I suggest that you don't wait too long to try. I am 40 this month and have been TTC for a year. I have had fibroids for several years but kept putting off treatment until I was ready to conceive. Now I need a myo and then MAYBE I can get pregnant. I wish I would have started this whole process much sooner. Suzanne
