Guest guest
Hello All, Just back from the doctor's. The Gyn said that he is not able to see progress in the pregnancy. Also, there is no heart beat detected(I'm in my 8th week). So, have a D&C scheduled for tomorrow. My heart broke when the doc gave the bad news. After some crying, now I'm getting ready mentally for the surgery. , Sherry and , Thankyou for your mails. It meant a lot to me. I still dont have much info about the nature of the anamoly. The doc just said that he is seeing something similar to septum. Guess, now I can do some more tests to determine the issue. Hope there is some light in the near future. Guest guest
Priya, I am so sorry for your loss! I know how you feel, when I got pregnant I was so excited. I went in for a 6 week check up not knowing that I had any problems and was informed that I might have a SU or BU but because they couldn't tell for sure with the ultra sound I just had to wait and see what happens. Unfortunately the fetus never grew (it just ended up being an empty sac) at 7 weeks I too had to get a D&C to have it removed. The doctors kept telling me that either way it was good news. Good if the baby was to keep growing and good if it didn't because that way I could determine the problem and get it fixed. After much crying, sadness, procedures and months (6 months) I am only 1 month away to when I can ttc again! So in the end I am just hoping that everything I went through will allow the best chances for my next pregnancy. Good luck with everything! PS - My advice would be just to take it easy and take care of yourself. You are already one step ahead in finding this message board, as I wish I would have know about them earlier. It will get easier slowly ..... but give yourself time. > > Hello All, > > Just back from the doctor's. The Gyn said that he is not able to see > progress in the pregnancy. Guest guest
Hi Priya, I am so sorry for you loss. I know, and many of us here, know the pain you are feeling. My thoughts are with you. I had a missed miscarriage at 8 weeks in March, like you no heart beat. My doc wanted me to wait to have a natural miscarriage...but man, is that tough. After a couple meds and a few weeks, they finally gave me a D and C. After two more months, and my HCG levels not going down to 0, they finally figured out that I had a BU or SU, and they had only cleared out the one side of the septum, so I was scheduled for another D & C. After all this, my doc wanted me to go for a MRI to figure out what it was, but I live in Canada, and MRI's take months to get. After thinking about it, my husband and I decided not to wait for the MRI, mainly b/c of my age, 38. It was scary decision, but one I don't regret now, since I am 24 weeks pregnant. If I was younger, I would have waited and found out exactly what I have. My doc now thinks it is a complete SU based on my 3D u/s at 6 weeks. There is light at the end of the tunnel, I wish you all the luck in getting there. Sherry --- Shyamalapriya shyamala_priya@...> wrote: > Hello All, > > Just back from the doctor's.
