Lynn, whoever you get for your operation, whatever you choose,

make sure it's performed by someone who feels happy about

that option and who is experienced with them.

When surfing through past posts in the archive, be sure to keep

clicking on previous to get all the past posts. There is something

in one of the links about doctors people have had in the USA. Try

the links from Carla's home page and the NUFF fibroids site as

well as this site if you can't find a particular link you remember

seeing.

Dear Lynn,

I am so sorry about your situation. Have you thought of the EMBO procedure, it

is done by a radiation interventionalist. This procedure will shut down the

supply of blood to the fibroids and eventually shrink them. You do not have to

have surgery and since you are at an age where your fibroids will probably

shrink soon anyway, you might want to try this less invasive procedure. Good
