Guest guest
It's so strange...my doctor specifically told me no restrictions on sex, and I asked her twice, when we were discussing having the surgery and when she released me from the hospital; both times she said we could have sex when I felt up to it (but no getting pregnant for 3 to 6 months!) We waited about 2 weeks. We were very very careful and we didn't do it again for another week or so. For several weeks I found myself putting my hand on my belly to keep him from rubbing it (my muscles were *really* sore). I also wasn't given restrictions on baths or tampons, but I didn't ask about them since I don't use either (I waited until my mother was there to take a shower, I was nervous about falling). Sex is better in some ways -- some positions were painful before surgery and are less so now. Some things haven't changed (lack of orgasm, for example). I don't know what do about it at this point; I suspect a hormonal imbalance, but doctors I've spoken with only recommend therapy, which helped a lot of things, but not lack of orgasm. --Lee
Guest guest
I will be 6 weeks post myo tomorrow, YAAA! I have not lifted anything heavy, have not had sex, have not had a bath and have not exercised, per docs orders. The thing I am most looking forward to, is finally being able to lift my 20 month old baby! She weighs 29 lbs now and I am not even sure the doc will let me do that, yet. I am a 98lb weakling.
