Guest guest
Hi , So sorry to hear about your trip to L&D but thankfully it was uneventful! Don't ever feel like a " drama queen " when it comes to the health and well being of your baby. Always remember that the docs are there for you both. How long have you been on bed rest for? I was on strict bed rest for 10 weeks after going into preterm labor. Thankfully now I am out of the danger zone. Anyway, Happy New Year may 2006 be a great year for you and your family. Lyn 27, UD Preg w/#1 38w2d -**Getting VERY anxious to meet this little one!** -- another l&d visit Well, my dh and I rang in the New Year with sparkling apple cider in our Waterford crystal goblets and a trip to l&d at 4:30 in the morning! Wasn't that fun. Thanks to all the ladies for responding to my newbie post...really made me feel welcome. I love reading yr stories because they give me a great deal of hope! I guess I wasn't clear in my pp, but we're pretty darn sure my little bundle of joy is a boy! he's not shy AT ALL about showing us what he's got down there, even though he won't let anyone get his heartbeat. We've had a few good shots and if he ends up being a she I'll be shocked. The L&D trip was uneventful-which is good. My contractions showed up as mild irritations " (which irritates me-because they HURT!!) weren't affecting my cervix and the boy was doing well. These trips were they send me home because everything's " fine " always leave me feeling confused. 1-I'm happy and relieved my little boy is safe and sound and is " home " is still keeping him in 2-I end up feeling like a nutcase for going in when everything's fine. I HATE feeling like I'm being looked at and thought of as a drama queen. So, I'm back home on bedrest. I was thinking about sneaking out on Tuesday (my birthday) and using my Motherhood gift card to get some comfy pants...but I think I may have to cancel my planned escape. I guess I'll just have to stick to online shopping. My dh is sleeping on the couch now...poor guy. No sleep till 8am last night! I spend the whole trip into the hospital apologizing to him for the late night ride. He shrugged it off saying he understood I had to go, just in case. hope everyone's new year was filled with love and fun and family, prayers and positive thoughts to all the preggers! amanda uu/26 on tuesday 1/3/06 21wks 4days --------------------------------- Yahoo! Guest guest
Lyn, I've been on " official " doctor-ordered bedrest since the 2nd week of Dec (and I'm only 21 wks 5days now!!) but had been told to " take it easy " since I was about 15 wks. This was even after I made it clear how little activity I was doing!! I was pretty frustrated with that-how much easier can I take it without going on bedrest?!! Well, not much. Bedrest is driving me crazy at this point. I snuck out today and used my Motherhood store gift card...ahh...to be free! I got seriously winded and tired just walking into the store! amanda uu/25 21wks 5days Lyn Becker trueyankeefan@...> wrote: Hi , So sorry to hear about your trip to L&D but thankfully it was uneventful!
