Guest guest
Hi, This pain could be from many things. (I just went to the doc for it). Kidney infection (watch for fever & vomiting), kidney stones (maybe), UTI (urinary tract infection), bladder infection or your ovaries adjusting to hormone levels to name a few. Yes, it can be fibroid related too. What can you do? Cranberry juice and LOTS of water. I mean LOTS of water. Drink it all the time. Start with 8oz of juice in the morning and evening, then later use it in the evening only if you want but twice a day is best. Lots and lots of water. Motrin (anti-imflammatory) at least at night if you are in pain. Cranberry juice also helps with yeast infections by the way. Buy the cranberry juice without the sugar additives. Oceanspray is a good brand (there are others - read label). I emailed Oceanspay and questioned them about their reseach on cranberry juice and YES they responded. So red and white works just as well and the mixed works (cranberry grape... say) too. You might want to go with the plain red or white. Skip and caffine containing drinks (soda, cofee, tea) right now. It can make things worse. Stick with the juice and water. If it's your ovary (or fibroid related), then you need rest, heating pad and motrin. Time will sort it out. But the cranberry juice won't hurt you. Last week they reported that it was also great for your heart. What have you got to lose. I don't actually like cranberry juice (I don't work for Oceanspay either) but it's better than pain. It took days for me to see a doc so I did the juice and water thing on my own and the doc said it was the right thing to do. By the time I went to a doc, I was sore but not in intense pain. I paid and learned little. So try the juice and water and see if it helps. But if your pain continues or you get a fever and vomiting - go see a doc. You don't want to mess around with a kidney infection. Hope this helps, Ku Crockford imacrock@...> wrote: I am having sharp, seemingly random, pain in my lower back (kidney- feeling). Guest guest
Hi there Sometimes pain in the lower back can be kidney stones too. I do not have stones but my mother has and her pain was very sharp. My sister is a MD and she usually sends patiences with similar pain for a MRI Good luck Natnice nasmuchluv2003@...> wrote: Hi , you need to follow up with your Dr, considering you just gave birth, somehting sounds off here Crockford imacrock@...> wrote: I am having sharp, seemingly random, pain in my lower back (kidney- feeling). Guest guest
Thanks Ku-- Your adviced is timely as I just added Cranberry juice to my diet, thinking the exact things you mentioned. I have had UTI's before and am familiar with the bene's of a glass of cran! I am usually a huge H2O drinker, and have really been watching my intake lately as I think it dropped off a bit while I have been caring for my twins. I haven't had the pain in a few days now, and I haven't had any fever or vomitting (thank goodness!!), but I will be following up with my doc all the same . . . Thanks again for the great advice!!! . > Hi, > > This pain could be from many things. (I just went to the doc for it).
