I HATE THIS!

I can so totally sympathize with this, Liz. During the 2 1/2 years I've been suffering with fibroids, I think most of my time has been spent waiting to have a certain test or see a doctor. Have you tried playing the pain card? I'm not above pressuring the office to fit me in sooner by telling them how much pain I'm in. :-) Maybe you can even call the doctor back; sometimes they have no idea how long it takes their office to schedule a patient and the doctor might be willing to get you in sooner. Maybe you could also double-up on research. I don't know your personal situation, but for example, perhaps while you waiting to have this test, you might want to pursue UAE as an alternative? You might want to consider getting a pelvic MRI if you have already and scheduling some time with an IR in case what you hear in June doesn't work for you. Another thing that I started doing was booking my followup consultations at the same time I booked the tests so that there wouldn't be a gap. If I knew I was getting an ultrasound, I immediately booked a consultation appointment with my doctor at the same time. It's so frustrating; I feel for you. You're right to be concerned about not waiting while this fibroid grows; I had bleeding and horrible cramping as my major symptoms for 2+ years, then I started getting bulk symptoms with a vengeance and my condition has deteriorated unbelievably in just the first four months of this year. Good luck and keep us posted. Chris
