I am 54.. up until last month, i was having regular periods. But i

used progesterone cream the month before and all hell broke out.

I did not bleed, and instead had clots building ( causing cramping)

for 10 days and then gushing of blood and huge clots (thought I was

hemoraging (sp?) due to my fibroids, one approx 6x6 cm).

My periods have actually been getting better: less heavy, not so

long, no more terrible PMS. ( and why i took the progesterone cream

was just because everyone said to take it.. i was the right age for

it, etc. etc.. and thought it would help the pain, cramps, heavy

flow, fatigue, and even fibroids).

Instead, it caused havoc.

Went to a Dr. yesterday who suggested, short term ussage of Low Dose

Birth control pills.

What is this supposed to do for me?

Thanks!

Hi Karin,

My Dr said that progestrone and low dose BPC should lessen all the

bad things (bleeding, cramping, PMS) until the fibroids shrink down.

I'm a bit younger than you (28), but low dose BCP, for me it didn't

work so well. My only thought is that maybe it will regulate your

hormones, but before you start you should check with your DR to see

that they are thinking. But to me you sounded better of before

hormones.

Take Care,
